Yeah well, this was supposed to be an attempt at a speed paint but I ended up spending two evenings on it anyway. Tried out a paintery method, I like the effect though I’m not sure if it works well. Black Dainn, one of the Four Immortals, who I totally felt confused over his gender when I was playing Boktai 2…. until the very end when it was confirmed. Lol. What a learning curve this was! First this painting started out with me trying out a new method/way of painting, making it looked paintery with brush strokes. I got halfway where I laid down the basic colours and then…. nope, I just couldn’t make it work, so I gave up and started again. Such frustration. The second attempt eventually led to what you see now. I learnt more/read up about lighting in what it reflects/ambient light, and tried to apply it here. I’m not sure how well that turned out. Yes, Django here is eyebrowless but it’s supposed to be hidden under his bandanna so IDK. First time I tried to paint a background?? Not sure how well the result was, lol. Das San Miguel at the back for ya Boktards. Awwww yeah, you go get ‘em, Solar Boy, roast those undeads’ ass hard. Boktai, I miss you so. Taiyooooooouuuuuuuu!! Sassy Princess Amalia ain’t having none of your shiz! Amalia in Panty Stocking & Garterbelt style. Man are the eyes hard to do in the PSG style, or what? Much more pleased with this one, I think having strong black lines help a lot, as with Yugo I tried a different approach and it didn’t work out as well, and therefore the whole picture didn’t have as much of an impact as it should. Plus the bg for Yugo was too strong for the approach of lines I was going for, so it wasn’t such a good combo. Oh well! Always good to experiment! Maybe I’ll do the rest of the bro’hood in PSG style, maaaaaybe! Amalia (c) Wakfu Drawing (c) Me

Klonoa! :D A doodle of this cute lil dude. Klonoa - Door to Phantomile was my very first video game, and I fell in love with the game cover straight away, even before I played it. Fast forward to today, still love the series to bits, still replay the games every now and then, and it’ll always have a special place in my heart. Ruel in colour!! I hope you enjoy this, due to horrendous lagging it took me 2 hrs just to do the background… I was trying to get like, glowy ember things, but I have no idea how… Tried to avoid making the bg too distracting, I hope I succeeded!  Yep, so, a long time to do in SAI and I finished off the bg in Photoshop.
